John VanZandt, Ph.D., Chief Technology Officer - CEO Consultancy is the brainchild of John VanZandt. Having worked in the technology industry for over twenty years, John recognized that high-technology companies can gain huge economic advantages by tapping into the global engineering workforce, yet many do not have the infrastructure nor experience to manage a distributed engineering organization. He created CEO expressly to give these companies the competitive edge to succeed.

VanZandt has a track record of proven leadership in creating dynamic organizations for defining and delivering state-of-the-art software and hardware systems with a focus on software, embedded systems, servers, PCs and mobile computing. His key strengths lie in a deep understanding of business and technology and in the ability to drive an organization to peak performance.

Having headed the engineering divisions of companies like Fujitsu, Comdisco, Unisys, Ethentica and more recently Wily Tech, VanZandt works with a hands-on approach. He has led international distributed engineering teams for 6 years. He has designed everything from supercomputers to notebooks to complex software applications. He has also consulted for NASA and developed their computing plan for the 21st century.

In addition, VanZandt has lectured at universities across the country and spoken at numerous conferences on topics ranging from software development to computer architectures. He is the author of the book titled "Parallel Processing in Information Systems".
